Position Requirements Description Anesthesiologist Position (2 weeks on, 1 week off) at Baptist Memorial Hospital-De Soto, an acute care hospital located in Southaven, Mississippi. Their highly skilled and experienced doctors, nurses and staff provide a wide range of health care services, including ancillary, cancer, emergency and surgical, heart, neurology, women’s and children’s services, and more. Baptist-De Soto was the first hospital in De Soto County to offer open-heart surgery. The anesthesia care team approach provides a collaborative work environment where CRNAs, MDs, and the surgical team share strong, respectful relationships—led by inspiring and supportive leadership. Currently our care team model includes approximately 3 anesthesiologists and 15 CRNAs, who have created a cohesive group. Total Rewards Salary: $537K Sign on Incentive: $30K Comprehensive benefits package: • Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance • Generous paid time off • Flexible Spending Accounts/Health Savings Accounts • Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage • Loan repayment & training assistance available Case Assignments & Schedule • Schedule: 2 weeks on, 1 week off position 18 weeks of 7a-5p shift or 17.5 weeks of call and 17.5 weeks of day shift. • Regional, Cardiovascular (CV), EP Lab cases, Neurology, Orthopedics, Obstetrics, General, Urology, and Well Peds, Pulmonary(bronchoscopy), Gastroenterology (EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP), Interventional Radiology Key Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures • Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent • Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients • Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed • Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership Requirements • MD or DO from an accredited institution • Completion of Anesthesiology Residency • Board Eligible or Board Certified • Current medical licensure • ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable) • Currently licensed as a physician in Mississippi Board Certification or actively board eligible by the American Board of Anesthesia.
