Because this is a federal VA facility, an active, unrestricted physician license from ANY U.S. state is accepted — a Virginia license is not required. Opportunity Highlights Full-Time Anesthesiologist Location: Salem, VA Schedule: Monday–Friday Hours: Approximately 7:00 AM–3:30 PM No call required No weekends Any active U.S. state medical license accepted Long-term federal contract opportunity Current project term extends through September 20, 2030 , including option years On-site anesthesia services within the Salem VA Health Care System Qualifications Candidates must: Hold an active, unrestricted physician license in any U.S. state Be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology through the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) Maintain appropriate clinical qualifications to provide anesthesiology services Hold BLS and ACLS certification or be willing to obtain required certifications following award Position Overview Anesthesiologists will provide on-site anesthesia physician services to eligible veterans at the Salem VA Health Care System. Physicians will provide care consistent with nationally recognized anesthesia standards and the standards expected within a modern medical treatment facility. The anticipated clinical/OR schedule is 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday through Friday , with no call requirement . Why This Opportunity?
