Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is part of Cape Fear Valley Health System, which serves communities throughout southeastern North Carolina. The private, nonprofit healthcare system is North Carolina’s eighth-largest health network. Facilities include Betsy Johnson Hospital, Bladen County Hospital, Central Harnett Hospital, Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital, and Hoke Hospital. The system also encompasses Behavioral Health Services of Cape Fear Valley, the Cape Fear Valley Rehabilitation Center, and several medical clinics and offices in the region. Annually, it serves approximately 1 million patients. Our anesthesiologists and CRNAs work in an anesthesia care team model approach. Hourly Rate: $320/hr • Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage Awards/Recognition • Recipient of the Healthgrades 2019 Cardiac Excellence Award • Named Among the Top 10% in the Nation for Cardiology Services • Five-Star Recipient for Coronary Interventional Procedures Responsibilities • Case assignments: Cardiac, pediatrics, OB-GYN, general, plastics, urology, vascular • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures • Pre-anesthesia assessment • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition • Performance of clinical intervention as needed Requirements • M.D./D.O.
