University of Cincinnati Medical Center is the academic teaching hospital of UC Health and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, one of the largest employers in the Cincinnati region. The Department of Anesthesiology employs both Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants who work with faculty physician anesthesiologists in a care-team model, and the department has been expanding its anesthesia services.
